I don connessais not this film of 1942 (is this-that it is the first of Clouzot?) but it was pleasant to me` a lot. Of course, it is a movie very old (70 years) and it takes a supere' difficulte's (the end is too shallow etc.). But it is already clear that it is a very good movie. The story takes place between a Mr. Durand killer and the pension Mimosas, with a large the end of the story that I had not designed, and that I leave to others to understand themselves. A very good film, ` see from time to time. A true icon of american cinema, this film is an adaptation of the novel "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" by L. Frank Baum, published in 1900 and sold in millions of copies in the years that followed. The film is considered a cultural reference, especially on the north american continent, and we can not count the times or quotes from the Wizard of Oz, in all areas : Music, novels, films or series... I rediscovered this masterpiece aeuvre today... It about 10 years ago, in my childhood, I remember having seen and reviewed tirelessly, V. O, Ten years after, the emotion is always at the rendez-vous, and I appreciate that the better the talent of the actors, and in particular that of the beautiful and moving Judy Garland, just 16 years old, pouts and mimics attendrissantes and the voice unmistakable. Enchanting, timeless, and charming, and managed to make us forget his great age (movie of 1939!), as it is absorbed by the story, moved or softened by the touching naivety of its characters, and driven by its songs that remind us of the american musicals of the time. On my amp, I need to force the stereo mode to get the sound just right, all the other modes available to make a boiled infamous. Only the film is affected by this problem, the bonus pass perfectly.. My girls are fans of Louis de Funes. This one is excellent. They (8 and 10 years old) liked it a lot. THE great classic to watch again and again. The remastering offers a second youth to this magnificent film, without altering the original : one discovers new details that allow to realize the enormous work that to require the wizard of Oz, at the time. Judy Garland sings more beautifully still, everything is more emotional. The bonuses are very comprehensive, they are a mine of information and are well the atmosphere of the film industry of the period. For more fun, and to better consider the game of Judy Garland, review of V. O. (V. F. is present only on the BD). A film that will also be dreaming of the small as the great. Probably one of the best films of all-time and this is not me saying but the various rankings 'official'... The beautiful days of Southern slavery to the difficult post-war period, Scarlett struggles to keep its head above water despite the shackles of the company's well-thinking. Major players (Ah Olivia de Havilland), the scenery spectacular, and a story full of twists and turns, that happiness! Too bad the DVD is not really up to our expectations... Not even the slightest bonus in sight! They are called Sturges, Eastwood, Sergio Leone, Kirostami, John Woo or Scorsese, although the filmmakers have recognized the influence Akira Kurosawa has had on their own works. Yet he himself was inspired by the cinema, the theatre or the novel of the west. Consider Yojimbo adapted from a novel by Dashiell Hammett, taken over by Leone and Walter Hill, as we think of Ran to the blast epic inspired by the Shakespearean king Lear, or John Ford, whom Kurosawa had a great admiration. However, everything he touched became immediately japanese even the western and God knows, the 7 samurai is one of them. But rooted in reality popular from the Sixteenth century. The black and white as the palette of grey find their densities the original, the final battle in the rain spring is finally in all its intensity, while with the DVD, it was a bit of the soup. The story is based on conflicts of clan and where, one of the clan leaders, after injury, and was replaced by a Kagemusha for a period of 3 years. But, the replacement is excellent in its functions, and it is jealously looked upon. A great classic of the French cinema of the ' 50s, which continues obviously to be a source of debate. In my opinion, this is due to the fact that the film's purpose is hardly situable from an ideological point of view. The error is likely to want to see the movie according to categories frozen (in favor of the Resistance versus pro-collabo). I believe that it is appropriate to place it on a different level. The film engages in a sociological analysis rather caustic on the attitudes of each other; the film shows by example two characters, one is a painter who has been successful, the other a former taxi driver who vivote in the black market. During the Occupation, the one that draws the best is the painter who can even afford to play with the black market; arrested by the Germans, it is still the painter who is doing, although in extremis. At the Liberation, the social order has not changed, it is the painter always and still is the winner. Movie to watch the quiet even in the family, recalling the origin of these rules of life.. Without doubt one of the best Kurosawa movie, well above the Ran, and may even be of the Seven Samurai. Intelligent, beautiful, poignant. Superb. The least we can say is that at the beginning, Steven Spielberg wanted more of Alfred Hitchcok that of Walt Disney. So this story literally insane driver with a tanker truck driven by a road psychopate will keep you in suspense from the beginning to the end. The DVD contains more numbers of bonuses, including an interview of the author of the story, Richard Mattesson, who reveals that the story was actually happened with a friend in circumstances less dramatic than in the film. Spielberg also appears in interviews, telling the times its difficult beginnings and the immense challenge that was part of the filming. In addition, the proposed image in this edition is of the original format full screen. A must what! Those who appreciate the great filmmaker that was Jacques TATI will be enchanted by the style, the storyline and, simply, the realization of this Master of the 7th Art.
